What is a Laser Scanner?

A laser scanner is a portable device that measures large 3D point clouds in minutes. When set at its lowest resolution, the scanner can measure eight million points in 58 seconds. The point cloud data can be used for:

  • Storage Tank Calibration - Strapping Tables and Checking Tank Plumbness and Shape 
  • Comparing to design drawings
